    Job Description:
    Grades K-5

    Assessment and Individualized Education Program (IEP) Development:
    Conduct assessments to determine students' strengths and challenges.
    Collaborate with other professionals, such as psychologists and speech therapists, to gather relevant information.
    Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for each student based on their unique needs.


    Instructional Planning and Delivery:
    Design and implement instructional strategies that accommodate the diverse learning styles and abilities of students with special needs.
    Modify or adapt curriculum materials to meet individual student needs.
    Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to engage students and promote learning.


    Classroom Management:
    Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters a sense of belonging for all students.
    Implement behavior management strategies and interventions.
    Establish and communicate clear expectations for behavior.


    Collaboration:
    Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure a coordinated and cohesive approach to student support.
    Attend and actively participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings.
    Work with other professionals to address the unique needs of each student.


    Progress Monitoring and Evaluation:
    Regularly assess and monitor students' progress towards their IEP goals.
    Provide ongoing feedback to students, parents, and other relevant stakeholders.
    Adjust instructional strategies and interventions based on ongoing assessment data.


    Professional Development:
    Stay current with developments in special education and educational practices.
    Participate in professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge in the field.


    Advocacy:
    Advocate for the rights and needs of students with special needs.
    Work to ensure that students receive appropriate accommodations and support services.


    Record Keeping and Documentation:
    Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and services provided.
    Complete required documentation for IEPs, assessments, and other special education processes.


    Communication:
    Communicate effectively with students, parents, colleagues, and administrators.

    Job Requirements

    Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
    Must posses Professional Educator's License.
    Must posses LBS1
    Passign Score from the ILTS.
    Student teaching or internship experience.
    Must be able to pass a drug and background check.
    ProCare and Illinois fingerprints.

    Interview Process

    1015-minute screening call with a ProCare Recruiter
    20-30 minute virtual/in-person interview with school district
    Offer is typically within 24 hours of virtual interview

    As a ProCare employee, you will be paid on a weekly basis through direct deposit. Your hourly rate will be dependent upon your experience and education.
