- Work daily with a team of experienced research engineers and project managers to conduct performance, durability, and emissions testing of heavy-duty on-highway powertrain systems to support program goals of European and North American PACCAR divisions
- Support PACCAR's organizations by testing, evaluating, and validating new engine and aftertreatment hardware and software
- Operate engine test cells, understand emission measurement practices, and perform data analysis and validation
- Use hands-on experience to troubleshoot engine, powertrain and test cell controls and mechanical malfunctions
- Work with PACCAR colleagues to align EU and US powertrain testing facilities and procedures
- Identify and implement processes to improve the quality and efficiency of powertrain testing, emissions measurement, and data processing in the ETL
- Create reports (both Powerpoint and Word) summarizing assigned tasks and data collected
- BS degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, Automotive, or related engineering degree
- Minimum 3 years work experience performing powertrain testing
- Knowledge of diesel engine and exhaust aftertreatment system operation and control systems
- Ability to work with ETL technician staff, fostering teamwork and employee development
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
