    Looking for a motivated individual to be an Electrical Engineer to assist in developing complex engineering solutions.

    The Avionics Test Engineering organization is a global engineering organization responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of the manufacturing test solutions in support of the $5B Avionics strategic business unit as well as external customers including armed services and airlines both domestic and international.

    Typical test solutions include Optical, In-circuit Test, Boundary Scan, as well as COTS components such as switch systems, oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, power supplies and other related equipment coupled with custom software for performing Environmental Stress Screening as well as testing circuit card assemblies and top-level products.

This person will consistently demonstrate professionalism in their interactions with all levels of the organization and will routinely go above and beyond expectations in performing their work.? They will have the ability to work independently, while analyzing equipment and conducting experimental tests to establish operating data.

    This candidate will perform engineering work and applied research, coordinate activities involving the design and development of electronic equipment and devices and prepare engineering sketches and product information documentation.

    This is a multi-faceted role requiring versatility across a variety of tasks in a highly collaborative environment. The role requires working closely with engineers and leaders, at various locations around the globe, to ensure project success. Organizationally, the role reports to an Engineering Manager in the Avionics Test Engineering organization.


    Responsibilities:

    • Coordinates and facilitates the design, fabrication, modification, and evaluation of electronic apparatus, components, or circuitry for use in electronic equipment and devices, ensuing work is completed on time and established quality and budgets are achieved.
    • Researches, develops, designs, and tests electrical components, equipment, systems and networks to ensure that business objectives and required specifications are met.
    • Prepares engineering sketches or specifications to construct, relocate, or install equipment, facilities, products, or systems.
    • Prepares documentation including confidential descriptions or specifications of proprietary hardware or software, information on product development, introduction schedules, product costs, and performance weaknesses to track progress and analyze performance.
    • Performs engineering work and applied research, development, and design of new products to ensure quality standards and business objectives are met
    • Provides technical mentoring to other junior engineers
