    Description
    Medical Technologist- St Petersburg, FL (New Grads are Welcome)

    Job type:
    Full Time


    Shift:
    Evenings (rotating weekends)


    NIGHT DIFF:
    $2.5


    Responsibilities :
    Perform accurate and timely laboratory testing and analyze proficiency testing samples according to instructions and complete within the allowable time frame
    Assume responsibility of the department as appropriate in the absence of the supervisor
    Complete all required records/documentation pertaining to patient results
    Perform stat procedures within established turnaround time targets.


    Qualifications:
    Associate's Degree/ Bachelors is required
    A 4 yr Bachelors Degree in Med technology is required
    A State of Florida Medical Technologist License is required
    Licensure in one or more clinical specialty areas: (Generalist highly preferred): Blood bank, Serology, Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology
    Medical Technologist experience in a clinical setting is preferred.
    MUST HAVE recent blood bank experience

    Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Technologist in a clinical or reference lab setting is required but new graduates are welcome to apply.

    A State of Florida Medical Technologist License is required.

    Generalist license (all areas) is required but we will consider applicants licensed in 3 or more of the following areas:

    Blood bank
    Serology
    Chemistry
    Hematology
    Microbiology
