Job Position: .NET/Accessibility Developer

Location: Des Moines, IA
Estimated Work Duration: June 17, 2024, to June 17, 2025
Compensation: $55 per hour on W2
Work Mode: Remote
Candidate Requirement: Local candidates only - USC, GC holders
Interview: Web Cam/In Person

Seeking a highly motivated .NET Accessibility Developer to assist in a statewide initiative enhancing accessibility for all Iowans interacting with public service websites.

SDP6 Accessibility Developer

The Department of Management, Division of Information Technology (DoIT) is in search of a dedicated .NET developer to join the Application Development (App Dev) team. This position plays a vital role in supporting the accessibility initiative benefiting all Iowans accessing public service websites.

The ideal candidate will:

Have a strong understanding of WCAG guidelines
Conduct manual and automated accessibility testing
Prepare reports on accessibility compliance and recommendations
Possess effective interpersonal, written, and presentation skills
Thrive in a collaborative, innovative team environment
Work remotely Monday to Friday during standard business hours

Required Qualifications: 5 Years

C#, ASP.NET, MVC, CORE, Restful APIs - 4 years' experience
Entity Framework or similar ORM - 4 years' experience
HTML/CSS, JavaScript, or jQuery - 4 years' experience
Azure DevOps, GIT GitHub Enterprise - 2 years' experience
Automated unit testing - 2 years' experience
Agile scrum team development - 2 years' experience
TSQL working with MS SQL - 2 years' experience
Bootstrap 4 or above - 1 year
TypeScript/Angular 6 or above - 1 year (desired)
Knowledge of WCAG guidelines - 1 year (desired)
Experience with Accessibility Evaluation Tools - 1 year (desired)
Experience with Assistive Technologies - 1 year (desired)
