- Surveillance of contractor's installations, fabrications, and other identified field work.
- Executing visual inspections per Code, drawings, and other applicable standards.
- Preparing inspection reports.
- Proactively reviewing Inspection and Test Plans and other quality documents for applicability.
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of 7 years Quality Assurance construction experience required.
- Certification in at least electrical or Instrumentation & Controls inspection discipline preferred.
- Knowledgeable in Codes specific to the Oil and Gas / Petrochemical industry.
- Able to read blueprints, ISOs, and PI&D's.
- Working knowledge of principles and practices of Electrical and/or Instrumentation & Controls engineering, design and construction, engineering survey principles, trends, techniques, mathematics, and compliance processes and procedures related to federal, state, and local codes and regulations governing construction.
- Working knowledge of Quality Assurance processes and procedures related to project construction.
- Knowledgeable in use of Quality Inspection tools and calibration requirements.
- Knowledgeable in storage and preservation of equipment.
- Knowledgeable of installation and setting of equipment.
- Applies basic knowledge of Company/Project operations, policies, and procedures.
- Persistent and inquisitive in the pursuit of information; obtains all relevant facts.
- Strong oral and written communication skills with good vocabulary and grammar. Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Able to prepare detailed and project specific inspection reports and other documents as requested.
- Knowledge in computer programs such as Microsoft Office 365, Adobe and other project specific software platforms as required.
- Ability to communicate effectively in one-on-one situations. Ability to interact and communicate with all levels of staff and management, both internal and external.
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential or sensitive information or issues.
- Must demonstrate ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to maintain regular attendance as per work schedule agreed with manager (may require working an adjusted work schedule based on project assigned and work overtime if warranted).
- Ability to comply with applicable laws and regulations, the Company's Code of Business Conduct and other Company policies and procedures as required.
- Must be comfortable working in all environments including excessive heats and heights as needed.
