STAFF ACCOUNTANT

ABOUT THE COMPANY AND OPPORTUNITY:

• CFS is working with a manufacturing company to identify a Staff Accountant to perform month-end close and support day-to-day accounting activities.
• Office is laid-back and they are offering flexible hours
• The client is looking for someone who is not afraid to ask questions - a "measure twice, cut once" kind of person

OVERVIEW OF THE STAFF ACCOUNTANT ROLE:

• Accounts Payable: 3-way matching of invoices, data entry
• Accounts Receivable: Post cash payments to ledgers
• Communicate daily with both vendors and staff regarding the status of customer accounts
• Staff Accountant assists with the year-end close process
• Assist with payroll processing
• Staff Accountant will help with additional projects as assigned

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE STAFF ACCOUNTANT ROLE:

• Associate or Bachelors degree in accounting
• Two years of experience in a similar role
• Staff Accountant needs experience with a large ERP system is a plus, proficiency in Excel
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently with minimal direction
• Excellent communication skills and an eye for detail
