    Description Job Context: Our team designs, builds, and ships hardware devices, networking technologies, software, and services for delivering on customer needs and wants, innovating with opinion to anticipate customer requirements. Our designs are beautiful, customer appropriate, and functional. As Head of Consumer Go-to-Market, you are the product and market-savvy leader for our product area for defining how we go to market. You work with Product and Marketing to define the key selling propositions and messaging for launch and go-to-market. You lead and drive execution of product launches, in partnership with marketing, sales, and channel teams. You bring together customer, channel, and competitive insights to contribute to defining product features and work with marketing and sales to position and launch the product. You are able to gather and analyze large amounts of information efficiently and deliver compelling, insightful recommendations. You have skills and experience in launching sophisticated products in high volume, and you have a strong understanding of the functional disciplines which contribute to the product launches (e.g. Product, Engineering, Marketing, Finance, Partnerships, Operations, Customer Support, IT, etc). You have a deep understanding of Finance, and you partner with the Finance team to define go-to-market plans which meet the division's financial objectives. You partner with Sales, Marketing, and other go-to-market functions to identify channels to reach the target customers, assess the viability of different approaches, and lead execution of the agreed-upon plan. You work with the cross-functional team to craft and manage a program schedule and lead execution. The products you work on are new to Palo Alto Networks, so you are entrepreneurial and hands-on in your approach while helping to craft a vision and leading the cross-functional team to execute on that vision. You will launch products to deliver on a 10-year mission, as this is a start-up area within Palo Alto Networks. You will develop and grow talent through effective mentoring, coaching, succession planning, and retention in a fast growth, highly competitive economic environment. Required Qualifications:
    • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or Computer Science (Desired: MBA)
    • 7 years of experience in outbound product management/product marketing defining target customers and channel strategy, including managing business and technical go-to-market partnerships. (Preferred: Consumer electronics and networking industry experience)
    • Experience program-managing complex product launches, including leading cross functional teams from Product, Engineering, Marketing, Finance, Partnerships, Operations, Customer Support, IT, and other functions
    • Demonstrated analytical ability and business and product insights in gathering market and competitive intelligence and processing the information for defining and optimizing product positioning and launch strategy
    • Demonstrated finance skills and ability to partner with the Finance department to define go-to-market strategies and plans which meet the group's financial objectives
    • Experience leading cross-functional teams through relationship, influence, collaboration, and strong communication
    • Experience with large-scale product launches and go-to-market across channels and geographies
    • Demonstrated entrepreneurial approach, including ability to recruit and develop talent
