Job Title: Strategic Sourcing Manager of Direct Procurement

Location: Foster City, CA

Foster a strategic sourcing and industry partnership environment at Zoox as a Strategic Sourcing Manager of Direct Procurement. Collaborate cross-functionally to understand needs for third-party engagement across the business, identify potential partners and suppliers, draft RFQs, negotiate key terms and conditions, and manage commercial and supply chain issues.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead procurement and partnership initiatives for vehicle direct materials and/or operations infrastructure
Engage with stakeholders to derive and execute the medium-term business and technology roadmap to support Zoox's vehicle development program and autonomous ride-hailing service
Develop the supply chain and partnership footprint with a long-term, strategic view
Design, conduct, and synthesize supplier, industry, and market research
Drive cost transparency and build total cost of ownership models

Requirements:

Expertise in cost modeling for semiconductor chips and knowledge of the foundry industry
Strong understanding of chip manufacturing processes and their impact on yield
Ability to analyze and interpret market trends relevant to semiconductor pricing
Proven ability to cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers
Advanced Excel skills and experience in evaluating and optimizing Bill of Materials (BOM) costs

Compensation: The salary range for this position is $144,000 to $205,000 per year. A sign-on bonus may be offered as part of the compensation package. Benefits include paid time off, unpaid time off, health insurance, long-term care insurance, long-term and short-term disability insurance, and life insurance.
