Meat Department Team Member Job Summary

We are looking for a team member to join our meat department at Sam's Club. Our members love shopping for fresh food with us, and it's thanks to the hard work of our fresh food associates. As a meat department team member, you will be responsible for cutting meat, making decisions about quality, packaging, and display, and providing exceptional customer service.

You will make an impact by:

• Maintaining a positive attitude and smiling, greeting, and thanking members
• Providing exceptional customer service to members across the club as needed, answering any questions they may have
• Maintaining a clean, neat, and member-ready area

The ideal candidate will thrive in fast-paced environments, be a multi-tasker at heart, prioritize member satisfaction, and be able to stand for long periods of time while assisting members quickly and accurately.

Key Responsibilities:

• Be a Team Member: Collaborate with other associates to build a strong meat team; communicate with the members of the team; and be flexible to the needs of the business to work in other areas
• Be an Expert: Demonstrate knowledge of business on the floor, backroom operations, product safety standards, sanitation guidelines, inventory management, and equipment operation, maintenance, and sanitization
• Be a Techie: Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement
• Be an Owner: Ensure commitment to operational excellence, maintain work area according to company policies and procedures, ensure quality and date control standards, secure fragile merchandise, eliminate waste, and assist members with purchasing decisions
