    Description

    The Director of Supply Chain leads the Companys Purchasing, Inventory, Receiving, Shipping, Warehousing, and Facility Management and is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining associated systems and software systems.

    You will instill an All hands on deck approach with employees and build a culture of continuous improvement and team success. You will interact with employees at all levels of the organization in a culture of accountability that values velocity, transparency, and the free exchange of information and ideas.

    Supervisory Responsibilities:

    Leading the multi-location Supply Chain Team based in Medley, FL, and Azusa, CA, ensuring that they meet both Departmental and Company goals and objectives

    Coordinating the departments activities by managing schedules, documentation, and communication

    Coach, inspire, and develop the team to maximize growth and development opportunities

    Planning department staffing levels (skillsets, increases, decreases) to meet current and future business needs

    Recruit, onboard, and train additional staff as needed

    Conduct performance evaluations, personal improvement plans, and disciplinary actions in a timely and constructive fashion

    Perform other supervisory duties as requested and needed by the business

    Duties/Responsibilities:

    Optimize Supply Chain systems, procedures, and policies involving purchasing, receiving inventory control, and shipping

    Responsible for overall Procure-to-Pay workstreams and optimization of associated processes in concert with Accounting as needed

    Supplier management, including but not limited to negotiating contracts with suppliers both product- and transportation-related, as well as performing research, due diligence, and ultimately selection to enhance profitability, reduce operating costs, and boost efficiency

    Direct the supply chain team on using materials to produce the product, considering numerous variables. Hold team accountable for assessing and anticipating material trends and usage based on information from other departments and available data sets

    Keep up-to-date and informed on availability and price trends on new materials, products, and sources

    Take necessary actions to anticipate and eliminate delays and process bottlenecks to ensure adherence to production and shipping schedules

    Managing supply base through fact-based decision-making processes, holding suppliers and supply management team members accountable for their performance

    Develop and implement a consistent approach, tools, and process for cross-functional Supply Chain analysis, driving alignment and consistency

    Create, maintain, and report Quarterly Supplier scorecards

    Leading periodic Business Reviews and conducting presentations to internal and external customers, suppliers, and senior management

    Manage the team through the physical inventory process. Evaluate and report significant inventory variance, lead team through identifying root cause and corrective action for inventory discrepancies

    Create and adhere to the weekly Cycle Count program

    Establish meaningful, trackable, and actionable Supply Chain metrics throughout all nodes of the overall Department operations

    Perform other duties and take on additional responsibilities as requested

    Required Skills/Abilities:

    Hands-on, team-oriented, energetic, and dynamic leader who regularly interacts with other managers and office employees

    Focus on execution and delivering results

    High level of proficiency and previously demonstrated success with negotiating, purchasing, inventory, and logistics

    Strong information technology skills, including a high level of proficiency with the MSOffice suite, advanced Excel skills, expert-level data analysis, and ERP system setup, use, and optimization

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    Comfort with interacting and communicating with all levels of the organization, from the C-Suite down to entry-level

    A self-starter with a strong work-ethic

    Able to thrive autonomously

    Excellent knowledge of varied management methods and techniques

    Ability to think strategically and to lead

    Highly organized with advanced problem-solving, analysis, and multi-tasking skills

    Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and dynamic business environments

    Education and Experience:

    BA/BS degree in Supply Chain, purchasing, engineering, or related field of study

    MS or MBA degree preferred

    10+ years of progressively increasing responsibility in Supply Chain or Purchasing role in a manufacturing environment

    5+ years of experience managing a Supply Chain team of at least 5 team members in a manufacturing environment

    Language, Physical, and Travel Requirements:

    Excellent proficiency in spoken and written English is required

    Proficiency in spoken Spanish is beneficial

    Extended periods of remaining stationary and working on a computer

    Occasionally lifting weights of up to 25 pounds

    Willingness and ability to travel by air and car several times per year to Company facilities and events; approximately 10% travel required and as needed

    Located in daily commutable proximity to our Corporate Headquarters and Manufacturing Center in Medley, Florida
