    Job Summary

    The Assistant /Associate/Full Professor of Finance is expected to teach predominately graduate courses, along with some undergraduate courses, be involved in course and/or curriculum development, meet graduate faculty research/scholarship requirements, be involved in department, college, and university committees/initiatives, and complete other assigned duties. The BS in Finance offers three concentrations: Financial Analysis and Management, Financial Services, and Real Estate. The successful candidate will be expected to teach in all three concentration.

    Job Description

    Typical duties may include but are not limited to:
    • Teach three (3) classes per semester.
    • Conduct scholarly work and engage in professional activities, consistent with the LCOB guidelines for faculty classification as Scholarly Academic.
    • Engage in service activities as required.
    • Other duties may be assigned by the Chair.

    Required Qualifications
    • Doctorate from an AACSB accredited business school in Finance.
    • ABD considered if degree is conferred by August 7, 2024. If successful candidate is ABD, appointment will be made at a Lecturer level on a fixed contract.
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Prior teaching experience.
    • Relevant business experience.
    • Professional certification, such as CFP, CFA, CDE, or CPA.
    • A candidate with research and teaching experience in Financial Services is preferred.
    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

    Experience or commitment to the use of technology in distance learning and university teaching. Interest in collaborating both within and outside the university in the development and delivery of instruction resulting in improved student learning. Continued scholarship and service to the department, college, university, and community.

    Appointment will be made on a 9-month multi-year appointment basis available January or August 2024.
