    The Business Analyst leads and manages departmental activities to achieve Inova Health System's mission and strategic objectives. This role reports up to the Ambulatory leadership and is an operations facing role.

    The individual will support maintenance and optimization of appointment scheduling workflows, both from an overarching business process and technical understanding of the system configuration.

    This role creates strong project momentum and builds stakeholder ownership and develops subject matter expertise on assigned core business areas, including but not limited to, feasibility analysis, technical guidance, thorough understanding of available software, data analysis/reporting and workflow analysis is of vital importance.

    Identifies, documents, measures, monitors and recommends improvements to automated and non-automated business processes, in collaboration with stakeholders.

    Monday - Friday ; Remote Role

    Job Responsibilities

    Provides for the aggregation/flow of data and information across functional areas in business scope.
    Provides technical guidance on the existing environment including interactions with peripheral software and business units, testing, and training.
    Develops a thorough understanding of available software and maps business requirements to available solutions.
    Prepares data analysis and reporting/workflow analysis.
    Recommends alignment of workflow with technology. Uses objective evidence to evaluate impact.
    Ensures consistency of processes within business function areas and points of interface with other disciplines.
    Provides support for the development and implementation of primary care evidence-based protocols, policies, and procedures.

    Supports the implementation of improvement plans and new initiatives as well as the promotion of sound business analysis and project management principles.

    Leads implementation of assigned projects and initiatives within the business scope and cross-boundary initiatives. Ensures assigned projects meet all business objectives and timelines.
    May perform additional duties as assigned.

    Additional Requirements

    Certification - EPIC Cadence certification preferredExperience - Decision Trees experience is preferredEducation - Bachelor's degree in relevant field (or 4 years of experience in lieu of degree)
