    Description

    Family Nurse Practitioner

    The Family Nurse Practitioner provides general health care services under the supervision of a licensed physician. The role involves assessing patients' health status, initiating and evaluating diagnostic procedures, and implementing therapeutic interventions based on assessments. The nurse practitioner identifies cases that require further diagnosis and treatment from the licensed physician, serves as a clinical consultant to nursing and paramedical personnel, and coordinates work activities with families, community agencies, and other healthcare professionals. They are a member of the patient's care team and participate in the coordination of patient care.

    • Taking medical histories and performing examinations
    • Initiating and evaluating screening and diagnostic procedures
    • Implementing therapeutic interventions
    • Determining which cases to refer to the licensed physician
    • Serving as a clinical consultant
    • Coordinating work activities

    Qualifications

    Requirements

    This role requires mature judgment, tact, discretion, and confidentiality. A professional, pleasant, and effective representation of the corporation is mandatory. Bilingual skills (Spanish/English) are preferred.

    Other Requirements

    This role requires a dependable automobile with insurance and a valid California driver's license. The candidate must submit to and pass a urinalysis test, fitness for duty, criminal background, and credentialing clearance as a precondition for employment. Proof of COVID-19 vaccination and booster, recent TB test, MMR, TDAP, and Hepatitis B vaccines is also required. BLS/CPR certification is necessary.

    Qualifications

    To be eligible for this role, the candidate must be a certified Licensed Nurse Practitioner. An RN with at least a Master's Degree in Nursing and advanced education in primary care is also acceptable.
