    Search Heights is working with the premier provider of management, accounting, and tax compliance services in Phoenix We're searching for a new Senior Tax Manager (hybrid schedule) to add to the Management Services team.

    This role focuses on reviewing financial statements and tax returns for a select number of small- to medium-sized businesses, as well as special projects.

    Skills and Responsibilities for the Senior Tax Manager:

    Reviews monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and federal and state income tax returns, including forms 1120 S-corp, 1120 C-corp, 1065, 1041, 1040.

    Leads and nurtures a work culture that promotes open, frequent, and dynamic communication among staff; promotes teamwork to accomplish desired goals and objectives.

    Understands complex accounting issues, including comples tax adjustments, and is willing and able to assist others in resolving client issues.

    Makes recommendations to improve accounting processes and procedures.
    Demonstrates ability to complete the tasks of the Accounting Analysts and assists in completing accounting and tax work.
    Works with confidential client matters.
    Meets productivity and efficiency standards (billable hours).

    Maintains familiarity with IRS Circular 230 Regulations Governing the Practice of Attorneys, Certified Public Accountants, Actuaries and Enrolled Agents and the AICPA Professional Code of Conduct.

    Assists with special projects and completes them within defined timeframe with limited number of review notes.
    Communicates directly with external clients on most topics.


    Requirements:
    Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance.
    5+ years of accounting and tax experience.
    3+ years working with outside clients.
    1+ years of experience in a senior accounting or manager role.
    Brings a high level of initiative, positivity, meeting deadlines, and thrives in a fast-paced and high-demand work environment.
    Highly organized, comfortable with change and ambiguity, solution-oriented, and resourceful.
    Brings effective communication skills, strong work-ethic, and a high-level of personal integrity.
    Demonstrates advanced ability to work effectively with Microsoft Office suite and Accounting ERPs.
    Advanced knowledge pertaining to SAP, GAAP, and IRS Tax Code/Regulations.
