    Job Overview: As a Registered Nurse with Infection Control, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding the health and well-being of our patients, staff, and visitors by implementing and overseeing infection control protocols and practices. You will collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and maintain effective infection prevention programs while ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines and industry best practices.

    Key Responsibilities:
    1. Infection Control Assessment: Conduct regular assessments of healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) and analyze data to identify trends and potential areas for improvement.
    2. Policy Development: Collaborate with the infection control team to develop, implement, and update infection prevention policies, procedures, and guidelines.
    3. Education and Training: Provide education and training to healthcare staff on infection control practices, including hand hygiene, isolation precautions, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
    4. Surveillance: Monitor and report infectious disease outbreaks within the facility and promptly initiate appropriate control measures.
    5. Compliance: Ensure that the facility complies with all infection control regulations and standards set by local, state, and federal authorities.
    6. Patient Care: Assist in the care of patients with infectious diseases, including isolation management and follow-up care.
    7. Data Collection: Maintain accurate records of infection control data, including incidence rates, surveillance reports, and interventions.
    8. Outbreak Response: Participate in outbreak investigations and coordinate with relevant departments to contain and manage outbreaks effectively.
    9. Equipment and Environmental Control: Oversee the proper cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization of medical equipment and the healthcare environment to minimize the risk of infections.
    10. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improvement in infection control processes and work collaboratively to implement changes that enhance patient safety.
    Qualifications:
    • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in state of practice.
    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
    • Certification in Infection Control (CIC) strongly preferred.
    • Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, with a focus on infection control.
    • Knowledge of infection control principles, guidelines, and best practices.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
    • Attention to detail and a commitment to patient safety.
