    Job Requirements / Qualifications

    Active RN license in Ohio or valid compact state license (Registered Nurse)

    Completion of required health screenings and immunizations (MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Tdap, Influenza, TB/PPD, Fit Test, Physical/Health Statement)

    Successful background check, fingerprinting, and employment/education verification

    Skills checklist and competency exam completion as required by the facility

    Driver's License/State ID for onboarding

    Responsibilities

    Deliver specialized nursing care to post-operative cardiac surgery patients (CABG, valve surgery, heart transplant)

    Provide care for post-operative thoracic/lung surgery patients (wedge resection, lobectomy, double lung transplant)

    Support additional patient populations including esophagectomies, bronchial valves, EP lab, Cath lab, and general cardiology cases

    Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team in a teamwork-focused unit (Lerner Tower 3)

    Monitor, assess, and document patient progress; respond promptly to changes in condition

    Teach and educate patients and families on recovery, wound care, and discharge planning
