    SUMMARY:
    We are seeking an Accounts Payable Team Lead for our Auction Settlements Department

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Leader of assigned auction settlement team membersEnsures all auction proceed payments are accurate, timely, properly authorized, and documented.
    Responsible for continuous improvement and innovation in all auction settlement functions.

    Leads and trains the assigned settlement team membersOrganizes the workload of assigned settlement coordinators and settlement clerksCloses auction once finalized and books daily journal entries.

    Prepares settlement statements for each consignor for each venueVerifies consignor statements for accuracyCalculates and enters Miscellaneous adjustmentsDeducts customer accounts receivable from auction proceeds according to standard operating procedureVerifies and changes payee names as needed per authorized proceeds directivesPrepares preliminary auction settlement statementsMust be able to multi-task and maintain auction records at various stages of completion simultaneously for various auction categoriesPreforms final accounts receivable review, balances the prices realized, prepares the check batch, verifies checks posted fees, notates the Auction Summary Report, prints auction settlement checksPost wires daily to the general ledger


    SKILLS AND ABILITIES:


    Must be highly proficient in basic Microsoft applications, specifically Excel, have excellent organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written, keen attention to detail, and be highly proactive with a positive attitude.

    Microsoft Dynamics GP preferred.


    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
    Must have a Bachelor's degree in a business field, preferably Accounting; minimum 2+ years' experience in Accounts Payable or Accounting

    WORK ENVIRONMENT:


    To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to withstand long periods of sitting, looking at a computer monitor, and phone handling for approximately 3-8 hours on a daily basis.
