    West Monroe is seeking a Senior Manager to join the Energy & Utilities (E&U) Clean Technology & Infrastructure Investment Advisory team. The Senior Manager will be responsible for conducting commercial and market due diligence within the E&U industry. In this role, you will work with our national E&U and M&A practices advising private equity, venture capital, and energy industry clients regarding the clean energy transition and associated technologies and service providers.

    Responsibilities

    • Assess commercial due diligence targets respective operating models and organizational structures against leading practices and industry benchmarks.
    • Conduct, oversee, and lead commercial diligences.
    • Be part of or lead engagement teams on transaction advisory, guiding the team to prepare focused request lists and agenda, facilitating client reviews, and providing leadership deliverables.
    • Facilitate due diligence projects focused on identifying operational and technology strategy, organizational structures, and current state business processes and supporting technology.
    • Assessing headwinds and tailwinds (market, economic, and regulatory) for companies, industry and specific technology advisory.
    • Perform assessments for utility clients that are planning or implementing large transformational programs related to digital transformation including training, organizational design, and communications elements.
    • Act as or support Account and or Project Leads in developing project plans, milestones, estimates, and structure on engagements.
    • Contribute to the developing and growing practice from a business development, Energy and Utilities practice, and culture perspective.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required; MBA preferred.
    • 8+ years of experience in management consulting, private equity, investment banking, or as a leader in the E&U industry conducting commercial and market due diligence.
    • Minimum 4 years of work experience within the E&U industry.
    • Familiarity with PE deal structures and diligence processes, in clean tech, renewable energy, and energy software platforms.
    • Ability to research, inspect, and build market sizing models (TAM/SAM/SOM).
    • Experience conducting/leading primary research efforts in the form of expert interviews (customer/competitors) and surveys.
    • Prior experience managing a team of professional services consultants in a project environment.

    • Ability to travel to client sites 50% annually.


    Based on pay transparency guidelines, the salary range for this role can vary based on your proximity to one of our West Monroe offices (see table below). Information on our competitive total rewards package, including our bonus structure and benefits is here. Individual salaries are determined by evaluating a variety of factors including geography, experience, skills, education, and internal equity.

Employees will also receive unlimited flexible time off and ten paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
