LPN - Weight Management Clinic
Job Description:

Minimum Requirements:

Education: Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing.

Experience: One year of nursing experience preferred, but not required.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Strong grasp of practical nursing principles and skills necessary for quality patient care
- Familiarity with examination techniques, diagnostic procedures, and the effects of medications.
- Understanding of patient education principles and physician office procedures.
- Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions in a clinical setting.
- Basic knowledge of ICD10 and CPT coding guidelines.
- Excellent communication skills for clear and effective interactions with providers.
- Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
- Strong problemsolving skills with the capacity to prioritize and make quick decisions.
- Proficient in administering medications and treatments and in using various medical equipment.
License/Certification/Registration:
- Valid Pennsylvania Practical Nurse License.
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association, with renewal every two years.
Working Conditions:
- Fastpaced and sometimes stressful medical office environment.
- Exposure to communicable diseases, bodily fluids, and other typical clinic conditions.
- Potentially requires travel to other office locations.
Physical Demands:
- Full range of body motion required, including handling and lifting patients.
- Manual dexterity and handeye coordination are essential.
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Occasional lifting and carrying of items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Corrected vision and hearing within normal ranges are necessary.
