    Occupational Therapist (OT) for School Setting


    Position Summary:

    We're in search of a proficient and caring Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our dynamic school-based team in the vicinity of Harrisburg, PA.

    As an OT within a school environment, you'll play a crucial role in providing comprehensive rehabilitation services to students facing physical, cognitive, or emotional challenges.

    Your main objective will be to assist students in developing, regaining, or enhancing their ability to carry out daily activities and attain a greater level of independence and overall well-being.


    Job Responsibilities:
    Perform thorough assessments to gauge students' physical, cognitive, sensory, and emotional capabilities and limitations.
    Create customized treatment plans based on assessment outcomes, taking into account student goals, capabilities, and preferences.

    Execute therapeutic interventions such as exercises, activities, and adaptive equipment usage to foster functional independence and enhance quality of life.

    Offer hands-on therapy and guidance to students to improve their motor skills, coordination, strength, balance, and range of motion.

    Educate students, families, and caregivers on strategies and methods to maximize independence and integrate therapy goals into daily routines.


    Qualifications:
    Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
    Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist.

    Profound understanding of human anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology, as well as comprehension of various physical, cognitive, and emotional conditions and their influence on daily functioning.

    Demonstrated experience in assessing, planning, and implementing occupational therapy interventions.
    Possession of empathy, patience, and sensitivity to the distinct needs and challenges of individuals undergoing occupational therapy services.
