Job summary
The Controls Technician is responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining material handling equipment in a lumber manufacturing environment.Troubleshoot complex control system issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime.
Work directly with OEMs that develop controls software for scanning and optimization
Evaluate and install patches and resolve software related problems
Utilize reports to improve material handling system performance
Partner with network support resources for guidance and assistance
Provide technical support for PLC devices
Maintain governmental compliance and participate in audits as needed
