    This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience managing the design, analysis, and implementation of algorithms for Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) payloads where Leidos is transforming the payload solutions for the future.

    As a Signal Processing Engineer, youll directly support the Division by leading a talented team through an aggressive schedule to achieve program objectives, including frequent customer interface.

    You will lead a team of signal processing and algorithms engineers in the research and development of space-based EO/IR payloadsDevelop, model, and test signal processing algorithms in MATLAB for EO/IR sensorsDevelop models and simulate processing chains in software testbedsIdentify, integrate, and develop metrics for algorithm testing & analysisAssist the integration of algorithms onto space-based payloadsPerform the verification and validation of real-time implementationsPrepare and brief results to customers

    What Sets You Apart:
    Masters degree in a science related degree field (Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Engineering Physics, etc.) with 10-13 years of prior relevant experience or Doctorate with 8-13 years of prior relevant experienceUS citizenshipActive Secret clearanceAbility to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearanceProficient experience with MATLABProficient in WindowsDevelop novel and advanced algorithms, performance simulation, and analysisExcellent communication skills and proven ability to work directly with customers and deliver resultsMission oriented with a strong ability guide a team towards goals and deliver real world productsProficient with technical writing, documentation, and organizationRobust sense of initiative, a self-starter who can work independentlyExperience in proposal development and business developmentYoull really WOW us having one or more of the following:Active TS or TS/SCI security clearanceConstellation analysis, coverage and accessRadiometry, performance estimation and analysisSpace-time adaptive processing (STAP)

    Pay Range $118, $213,850.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
