Principal Responsibilities

Operates heavy equipment in a clean and efficient manner
Experience in the following heavy equipment operation is ideal: Front End Loader, Motor Grader, Skid Steer, Truck Driving
Ensures health and safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times
General knowledge of day-to-day construction operations
Experience in snow removal
Willingness to learn new procedures or tasks
Assures unit is never operated in an unsafe manner
Production driven
Must be willing to maintain equipment in addition to other duties
Follow good construction safety practices and following company code of ethics, policies and procedures
Ability to read and understand grade stakes
Able to measure, mark and record areas where work is to be performed and has been completed
Weekly thorough completion and submittal of field logs and timesheets
Strong mechanical aptitude, excellent communication skills, the ability to track, record and plan materials, be able to work safely and promote a safe work environment; comply with all DOT requirements
Work in various weather and job location conditions
Assist with other landscape/construction tasks as needed

Requirements/Qualifications * Prior experience working in the construction environment preferred

Ability to read and layout plans, with grading being a key part
Knowledge and proficient use of a transit to establish grades, footing heights, wall heights, etc.
Basic math skills. Ability to calculate yardage, toneage, square feet, etc.
Ability to operate various pieces of heavy equipment
Knowledge of light and heavy equipment operation and maintenance
Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures
Ability to lift, bend, and climb routinely

Qualifications * 5+ years experience in machine and equipment operation
