    This position is responsible for providing strategy and support to the Executive Directors and Sales and Marketing Directors in a specified market area to achieve sales and occupancy goals through effective outreach efforts. This position focuses on generating new business opportunities for multiple communities, typically in a geographic cluster or major market.

    The Role:
    • Identifies, builds, and maintains key relationships with physicians, discharge planners, senior living providers, home health agencies and other healthcare providers to obtain referrals.
    • Assists with the planning and execution of sales and occupancy levels within the assigned market in accordance with the marketing and sales plan.
    • Develops and maintains hospital relationships to obtain referrals and to ensure a smooth transition of care from the home or hospital to community.
    • Works with the prospective resident, family members, and key influencers (physician, attorney, trust officer, as appropriate) to facilitate a timely and favorable commitment to the community. This includes frequent personal contact with the prospective resident, resident representative, and other appropriate influencers including but not limited to telephone calls, home or office visits, and tours as appropriate.
    • Responsible for marketing all areas of assigned market and networking with local community groups, facilities, and businesses. Participates as needed in the development of annual marketing plans, competitive analysis, and planning of marketing events.
    • Keeps updated about relevant, operational, competitive, and company information in order to respond effectively to inquiries from contacts and convey community message.
    • Creates new and maintains existing relationships with professional referral sources to include telephone contact, community tours, in-office visits at the professional's office, etc. All contact with professional referral sources is accurately and timely documented.
    • Responsible for scheduling sufficient activity to generate the number of referrals.
    • Educates potential residents, family members, referral sources, and external payers regarding the effective and efficient utilization of program services and available resources.
    • Participates in discussions with the Executive Director &/or Administrator, and other relevant community department managers regarding the formulation of resident care policies, contracts, pricing, etc.
    • Meets occupancy and move-in objectives as outlined in the marketing plan and budget.
    • Plans public information programs and conducts such programs by working with all news media.
    • Works with the community sales team to plan and arrange for open houses, publicity brochures and displays, soliciting the cooperation of community staff and residents in these efforts.
    • Participates in local organizations identified as bringing value, by making presentations and joining as a member where appropriate, to facilitate a broader knowledge of the industry and of the community's capabilities.
    • Addresses civic organizations, businesses, and service organizations, representing the community in such activities.
    • Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by Regional Sales and Marketing Director or Designee
    Knowledge & Skills:
    • Must be skilled at public speaking and delivering presentations.
    • Excellent verbal, written, and people skills.
    • Must always present a professional demeanor, including situations that may be stressful.
    • Must be available to work a flexible schedule to include some evening and weekend appointments and events.
    Experience:
    • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business or related field or equivalent combination of experience and education is required.
    • A minimum of three (3) years' experience in sales/marketing or related industry is required.
    • Must be familiar with and adhere to guidelines related to the Fair Housing Act (FHA) and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) regulations in all aspects of the job including sales presentations and marketing materials.
