    Job Summary:

    The Parts Counter Associate assists customers and team members in obtaining automotive parts for maintenance.

    Supervisory Responsibilities:
    • None.
    Duties & Responsibilities:
    • Assist customers in selecting required parts in a friendly and professional manner.
    • Inform customers about companion part requirements and specials.
    • Answer phone calls and provide price quotes and information.
    • Review body shop estimates for parts accuracy and pricing alignment.
    • Pull and fill orders from stock, maintaining inventory.
    • Notify parts manager of out-of-stock parts or immediate needs.
    • Locate out-of-stock parts and submit emergency orders if necessary.
    • Notify customers and service advisors when special ordered parts arrive.
    • Communicate parts arrivals and deliveries to the body shop, tagging items.
    • Follow up on back-ordered parts.
    • Verify and manage will-call, back-order, and return files.
    • Bill internal requests for parts on service repair orders.
    • Receive payment from retail customers or obtain credit authorization.
    • Provide customers with copies of invoices.
    • Issue credits for returned parts, verifying purchase and pricing.
    • Issue and track requested shop tools for technicians.
    • Maintain orderly records of repair orders, invoices, and special-order parts.
    • Coordinate orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-up.
    • Solicit assigned accounts by phone.
    • Keep front and rear counter areas clean and uncluttered.
    • Participate in a lost sales tracking program.
    • Perform other assigned duties.
    Qualifications
    • Valid Driver's License and clean driving record.
    • Experience in a dealership or similar environment.
    • Participation in a manufacturer-sponsored training program, school, or event.
    • Up-to-date knowledge of new products and updates.
    • Safe operation of tools and equipment.
    • Consistent reliability and attendance.
    • Must be able to pass pre-employment screen (background & hair follicle drug test)
    Education & Experience:
    • High School Diploma or equivalent.
    • Experience in parts delivery or similar role.
    • Participation in a manufacturer-sponsored training program, school, or event.
    Physical Requirements:
    • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
    • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
    • Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat.
    • Prolonged periods of walking on a level surface throughout the dealership
