    Manufacturing Supervisor - Nights (Tonawanda, NY)

    About the Role

    We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Supervisor to join our team at 3M in Tonawanda, NY. As a Manufacturing Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading a team of production employees and overseeing the daily operations of our manufacturing plant.

    The Impact You'll Make

    • Promote a safe and sustainable working environment through modeling safe behaviors and recognizing and resolving safety-related problems.
    • Establish priorities and allocate work assignments to meet specific daily production requirements using lean management processes.
    • Monitor production rates, yields, and quality of products, communicating results to employees and leveraging continuous improvement tools to improve scheduling, quality, and efficiency.
    • Lead, coach, and develop employees through direct supervisor presence, monitoring, and coaching of production employees, providing recognition, overseeing training completion, policy administration, and participating in hiring processes.
    • Represent plant leadership team through supporting initiatives across the plant, including supervision coverage for alternative shifts, being on-call, and servicing as a primary plant management representative.

    Your Skills and Expertise

    To succeed in this role, we require a minimum of:

    • High School Diploma, GED or higher, and seven years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, quality, and/or supply chain in a private, public, government, or military environment.
    • Bachelor's Degree or higher in a science or engineering discipline from an accredited institution and two years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, quality, and/or supply chain in a private, public, government, or military environment.

    Additional Qualifications

    Previous supervision experience, excellent communication skills, MS Office proficiency, and experience leading daily tier management process, leading improvement projects, and participation in Six Sigma Green Belt projects are desirable.

    What We Offer

    3M offers competitive pay and benefits, including base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. The expected compensation range for this position is $94,018 - $114,911. In addition, this position may be eligible for a range of benefits, such as Medical, Dental & Vision, Health Savings Accounts, Disability Benefits, Life Insurance, Voluntary Benefits, Paid Absences, and Retirement Benefits.
