    DUTIES:

  • Facilitate business requirements analysis and functional design work sessions including creating business presentations, communications, and documentation.
  • Lead functional design including demonstrations to stakeholders to validate approach.
  • Identify creative solutions to business requirements, analyzes the strengths and weaknesses of alternatives, and provides recommendations.
  • Work with external vendors and analogous companies to obtain additional insights, approaches, and demonstrations of solutions.
  • Collaborate with the client organization including business analysts in the client organizations.
  • Lead the analysis of complex business processes, systems, and requirements.
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications and user stories. Convert roadmap features into smaller user stories.
  • Analyze and document current and future state business processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Elicit, prioritize, and document user stories and acceptance criteria in an agile development environment.
  • Work closely with the Product Owner to define and refine product backlogs.
  • Designing and developing scalable/secure system solutions batch and streaming data ingestion pipeline using microservices, Kafka and NIFI.
  • Collaborate with development and QA teams to ensure accurate implementation and testing of requirements.
  • Actively participate in agile ceremonies, such as Program increment planning, daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
  • Provide ongoing support to the development team by answering questions and clarifying requirements.
  • In alignment with SOX, ensure procedures, processes and proper change controls are adhered to on all production changes and implementations.
  • Document functional, integration, and testing requirements as well as SLAs and operating level agreements.
  • Lead technology cost/resource estimates and input to business cases. Provide expertise and update multi-year technology roadmaps.
  • Work with the IT Architecture & Development team during development to address functional requirements and functional design clarifications.
  • Provide expertise to training and field support groups as appropriate before new releases go-live.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance the business partnership and planning processes.
  • Train and/or mentor other team members, and peers as appropriate
  • Follow all defined technology standards and processes (i.e., IT Governance, SM&G, Architecture, etc.), and provides input for improvements to the appropriate process owners as needed.
  • Participate in technical evaluation process and SOX audit when assessing additions or changes to defined technology standards.
  • Other duties as assigned within area of responsibility.
  • Software used: Snowflake, Kafka, AWS, Azure, PowerBI, AI/ML, NIFI, Airflow, NodeJS, Python, Unix/Linux, Git, SQL Clients, TIBCO/SOA Messaging.
  • Methodologies: Agile Scrum, Jira and Confluence, Star and Snowflake schema.
  • Other skills used: Business Requirements, Data Analysis, Project, and Team management.
    REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering or related technical field and followed by 7 years of progressively responsible experience in any position/occupation in information technology application design or development (e.g. Senior Specialist, Technology; Specialist, Technology; Consultant; IT Analyst, etc.) Four (4) years of experience with the following:
  • Business systems analysis or project management on software development projects
  • Converting business needs into technology requirements and working within Technology to manage the execution of projects
  • Agile Development methodology and tools
  • Project management tools such as JIRA and/or Confluence
  • Facilitating requirements analysis and functional design working sessions
  • Identifying and analyzing alternative solutions to complex business requirements and providing guidance and advice
  • Business process re-engineering
