    Chemo Infusion team in
    Meridian

    Our
    St. Luke's Cancer Institute clinics are MAGNET-certified, dynamic, full-service outpatient hematology/oncology treatment centers offering chemo/bio/and radiation therapies. Patients and their families have trusted St. Luke's Cancer Institute for more than 50 years for advanced, compassionate care for cancer blood disorders.

    Today we are a network of five cancer centers dedicated to state-of-the-art treatment close to home; patient-centered care and support; cutting-edge research; and community prevention, education, and early detection initiatives.

    Luke's holds a Commission on Cancer (CoC) cancer program accreditation - this is a quality program of the American College of Surgeons which demonstrates a cancer program's commitment to providing high-quality, multidisciplinary, patient-centered cancer care.

    Our cancer center in Meridian brings our patients medical and radiation oncology specialists, as well as fellowship trained cancer surgeons in areas such as thoracic, hepatobiliary, gynecologic, and urologic oncology.


    What you can expect from this role

    • Part-time (0.8 FTE): day shift, schedule 4 x 8's
    • No nights or weekends
    • Rotating holiday schedule: 1 holiday every 2 years (St. Luke's observes 6 major holidays)

    • _Sign-on bonus & relocation assistance eligible for new hires_
    • Certification pay (ex. OCN)
    • Our Meridian chemotherapy infusion center (CIC) location has 15 treatment chairs and 2 injection/CVAD chairs and is open from
    • The CIC RN provides hands on nursing care for the oncology population by administering high-risk medications such as chemotherapy and immunotherapy in the chemotherapy infusion center
    • Infusions include chemotherapy/biotherapy, blood products, electrolytes, fluids, etc.
    • Cross train to triage

    Minimum qualifications for this role

    • Education:
    Nursing Degree


    • Experience:
    One (1) + years' RN experience


    • Licenses/Certifications:
    Current RN licensure from the State of Practice andCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Heart Association or American Red Cross


    • Preferred:
    Oncology experience, OCN certification and/or strong assessment skills
