    Join our growing team Konza Prairie Community Health Center is opening a newly renovated clinic in Manhattan, KS, and we're looking for passionate healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to our community. Be a part of our mission to deliver quality healthcare for all.

    The LMLP will provide clinical services to patients and their families in an outpatient setting. The LMLP will treat a variety of patients who have serious and persistent psychiatric/substance abuse, medical, and/or bio-psychosocial concerns. He/she identifies patients with bio-psychosocial problems and/or high-risk situations needing intervention and resolution. The LMLP, in conjunction with the patient(s), interdisciplinary staff, families, and community agencies, is responsible for developing a treatment plan, communicating and implementing the plan with all involved parties, and maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Provide psychosocial assessments, diagnose, and develop treatment plan with goals and objectives. Consult with patients and families to assist them and the health team in coping with patient's hospitalization, illness, diagnosis, treatment, and/or life situation, including behavioral, emotional, mental, physical, and substance abuse disorders.
    • Provide education to patients and families around issues related to adaptation to the patient's diagnosis, illness, treatment and/or life situation.
    • Formulate, develop, and implement a comprehensive psychosocial treatment plan utilizing appropriate clinical evidenced based treatments and interventions. Interventions may include crisis intervention, brief and long-term individual, marital, family as well as grief and bereavement work. Monitor and update treatment plan (every 90 days or sooner if needed) and determine criteria for termination of therapy services.
    • Screen, identify, diagnose using DSM nomenclature, treat and manage mental health, substance abuse problems in patients and family members, and/or victims of abuse, neglect, domestic violence, rape, etc. Provide training to other health care professionals in same. May perform these functions independently or as part of a team.
    • Provide consultative services to health care team members within scope of care definitions as needed. Maintain a working knowledge of relevant medical/legal issues that impact on patient care, e.g., advance directives, child and elder abuse.
    • Participate in multi-disciplinary health care teams and provide leadership in representing from a psychology perspective/liaison with patient and family.
    Requirements:
    1. Master's Degree in a mental health related field, required.
    2. Two (2) or more years of psychology work experience in a health care setting or social service agency with one of two years may be psychology work internship. Two years recent post master's experience in a clinical setting, preferred.
    3. Successful completion of the licensing examination to be a Licensed Mental Health Professional as regulated by the State of Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board, required.
    4. Maintains License in good standing through State of Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board, required.
