- Field incoming automated service tickets from Dell and Customers technicians either via telephone, in-person and e-mail in a courteous manner.
- Initiate service tickets when problems or issues are witnessed, and automated help request not initiated.
- Document all pertinent server identification information, including name, rack number, service tag, serial number and nature of problem or issue.
- Prioritize and schedule problems
- Record, track, and document the help desk request problem-solving process, including all successful and unsuccessful decisions made, and actions taken, through to final resolution.
- Parts from the locker are logged out to proper Service Tag/Serial Number of device where they are replacing failed/failing part.
- Failed parts are properly returned to Dell and Dell Tech Direct accurately logs and reflects such occurrences.
- Replacement parts from Dell are checked in and stored in the designated area.
- Perform hands-on fixes at the server level, as required.
- Performing preventative maintenance, including manually checking servers, as required.
- Perform post-resolution follow-ups to help requests, as required
- Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in supporting and maintaining Dell PowerEdge servers.
- Three (3) to five (5) years of experience with NVIDIA GPU hardware, maintenance, and replacement.
- Work experience in a data center environment
- Intermediate knowledge of Windows operating systems
- Experience working with service management tools such as Service Now or Remedy
