Are you a Licensed Audiologist looking to step into an assessment role?
Would you find it fulfilling to support the Veteran community?
Seeking an Audiologist to conduct medical assessments on United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process.
Before the appointment, the Veteran submits a claim. All their medical records are uploaded to a computer portal for your review. You will administer a Maryland CNC Test and Puretone Audiometric test. Completing a Disability Benefits Questionnaire (DBQ) in the portal provides crucial medical evidence for the VA's benefit decisions.
The Audiologist will not be involved in prescribing medical treatments or devices.
This role involves reviewing and evaluating an average of 3-6 Veterans each day.
Schedule: 3 days per week
This role requires IN-PERSON presence and offers dedicated time of 1 to 1.5 hours per patient. No late evenings, on-call duties, weekends, or involvement in hearing aid sales.
