    The Division of Hematology, Oncology & Transplantation (H.O.T.) at the University of Minnesota is seeking a board certified/eligible Hematologist/Oncologist with an interest in classical hematology.


    Our classical hematology program is a major referral center with expertise in treating patients with numerous types of non-malignant hematologic diseases.

    Our center is the largest in the state and one of the oldest in the country.


    Position Highlights:

    • Work in a collaborative and robust section of 6 dedicated faculty comprised of senior hematologists with international reputations as clinical and research experts, and junior faculty who are emerging leaders in the field.
    • See patients with non-malignant hematological disorders at the outpatient Masonic Cancer Clinic and the Center for Bleeding and Clotting Disorders, and inpatient at the University of Minnesota Medical Center, a modern 400-bed teaching hospital.
    • Offer comprehensive care to meet each patient's need with support from the federally funded Hemophilia Treatment Center nationwide network.
    • Participate in teaching, research, and clinical trails with a dedicated team for regulatory support and research coordination. With recent investments made that allow us to continue our robust clinical trial infrastructure including experience in gene therapies.

    Significant opportunities exist for faculty development and mentoring for research, education of students, residents, fellows and advanced practice providers, and clinical trial leadership are provided by senior faculty and a critical mass of diverse non-malignant hematologists.

    The H.O.T. Division is comprised of leading experts dedicated to seeking innovative approaches and more effective therapies.

    Faculty can work in partnership with one of the nation's top cancer research centers designated by the National Cancer Institute.

    For over 25 years the Masonic Cancer Center has provided faculty a collaborative research environment focused on the causes, prevention, detection, and treatment of cancer.

    Qualifications:

    • Prefer experience in translational research and clinical expertise in classical hematology, and independently obtained research funding.
    • Graduate of an accredited ACGME Internal Medicine residency and Hematology/Oncology fellowship-training program.
    • Board eligible/certified with the American Board of Internal Medicine Hematology Board.
    • Licensed or ability to acquire medical license and DEA in the State of Minnesota, and meet threshold criteria/qualifications for credentialing and privileges.
    • Ability to receive work authorization in the United States from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and maintain legal status according to the requirements of the VISA.
