    BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Administrative Assistant II for an opportunity in Phoenix, AZ, 85021

    Position Title: Administrative Assistant II

    Location: Phoenix, AZ, 85021

    Anticipated Start Date: ASAP.

    Expected Duration: 02 years contract.

    Job Type: Contract role/40 hours a Week/Onsite.

    Rate: $25.34/hr on W2

    Requirements:

    This position performs a variety of administrative work of considerable difficulty as required and deemed necessary to support Research and Analysis (R&A).

    This position applies acquired detailed knowledge of the Department, Division, Administration and Agencies organization, policies and procedures, and day to day problem solving.

    This position works independently and uses critical thinking with general instructions on a variety of projects while using word and data processing equipment and other automated office equipment.

    Skill Required:

    Two years of administrative experience; or a Bachelor's degree in field appropriate to the assignment and one year of the required experience; or a Master's degree in a field appropriate to the assignment.

    Skilled in:


    • Customer service practices and techniques.


    • Gather and summarize data for reports.


    • Compose/create/maintain varied spreadsheet reports and correspondence.


    • Skill in keyboarding and the use of Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.


    • Skill in use of Inter-/Intranet and telephone operation.


    • Perform full range of administrative functions required by administrators in a responsible and confidential manner.


    • Handle detailed work with accuracy and speed.


    • Task and detailed oriented.


    • Performing technical, complex and difficult administrative work using independent judgment.

    Ability to:


    • Manage a diverse range of administrative tasks simultaneously.


    • Write and speak with clarity and effectiveness.


    • Provide technical assistance and guidance as requested.


    • Problem-solve various issues and execute appropriate independent judgment.


    • Plan, organize, prioritize and coordinate activities across multiple assignments.


    • Establish and maintain professional working relationships with staff and outside entities.


    • Respond to internal and external customers with tact, diplomacy, accuracy, and appropriate and timely information.


    • Schedule competing meetings/conferences with appropriate preparation and follow-up.


    • Work in a fast paced environment with medium to little supervision.

    Experience Required:

    Two years of administrative experience; or a Bachelor's degree in field appropriate to the assignment and one year of the required experience; or a Master's degree in a field appropriate to the assignment.

    Keywords:

    o Monitors budget utilization and expenditures. Researches and analyzes expenditure for the purpose of reporting fiscal position, preparing forecasts and reports. Provides financial expertise to department on financial forecasts and programmatic trends for assigned areas. Identify, research, and analyze possible impacts of proposed legislation and funding modification for assigned area.

    o Compiles expenditure, appropriation and obligations data to monitor and interpret financial information. Meets with DCS Budget management to review expenditure trends, anticipated needs, and projections.

    o Perform regular and ad-hoc financial, staffing and caseload analysis and present to Budget leadership. Research and analyze expenditure trends for the purpose of reporting fiscal position.

    o Supports the Financial Analyst II and III in developing the annual budget request by compiling historical expenditure data and estimating future costs. Gathers and validates data, confers with agency officials in order to make determinations for budget development and planning.

    o Determines funding needs of assigned programs and initiates transactions including transfers, journal vouchers, expenditure corrections, and other like documents. Approves/oversees purchase order approvals for assigned programmatic area.
