Job Profile Summary

The Materials Coordinator oversees Inventory accuracy by conducting stock counts, receiving, storing, and stocking supplies. They ensure proper distribution of products based on requisition details.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Manage perpetual inventory stock counts for accuracy checks
• Minimize overstocks and remove obsolete materials to optimize working capital
• Receive, unpack, inspect, and store materials, tools, and equipment
• Ensure proper handling of incoming products according to company procedures
• Inspect incoming materials, reconcile with purchase orders, and process documentation
• Store items systematically in warehouses or supply areas
• Inspect stock for wear or defects, reporting damages to supervisors
• Label materials and equipment for identification
• Distribute materials based on requisitions
• Maintain inventory records for control and cost containment
• Review supply needs based on contracts and purchase orders
• Collaborate with purchasing personnel and vendors on procurement
• Maintain cleanliness in store and warehouse facilities

Education

• No specific education requirements

Work Experience

• Preferably experienced with inventory software and resolving inventory issues

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Understanding of: materials, equipment, and supplies procurement
• Knowledge of: storeroom operations and purchasing processes
• Familiarity with: ERP Systems
• Proficiency in: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
• Ability to: utilize mathematical skills
• Competence in: operating necessary tools and equipment

Licenses and Certifications

• Forklift Operator certification required
• Scissor Lift Operation certification preferred
