Overview
The role of Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist involves providing accurate and safe patient-centered anesthetic care. The CRNA must have a strong understanding of physiologic implications and anesthetic considerations of surgical procedures, constantly monitoring vital signs, capnography, and pulse oximetry during anesthesia according to ASA guidelines.
Responsibilities include ensuring appropriate documentation within the accordance of hospital and regulatory requirements, protecting information from unauthorized access modification, destruction, or intentional or accidental disclosure. Additionally, the CRNA is expected to demonstrate a high standard of moral and ethical behavior, professionalism, compassion, and commitment to patient care.
