    The Registered Nurse (RN)provides general and specialized direct and indirect patient carethrough the application of sound procedures and practices topatients of all ages. You will utilize competency in thebehavioral, growth and development, and psychosocial needs of thepopulation served. Utilizes competency in the behavioral, growthand development, and psychosocial needs of the populationserved.

    Responsibilities:

    • Providesgeneral and specialized direct and indirect patient care throughthe application of sound procedures andpractices.
    • Performs accurate and completeadmission assessments within defined time frames. Assesses anddocuments patient's pain levels utilizing appropriate protocols.Prioritizes and documents patient problems based on assessedneeds/problems in collaboration with the patient, family, andhealth care team.
    • Monitors and documentspatient's condition and effectiveness and timeliness of care and/orinterventions.
    • Evaluates, updates and revisesplan of care to facilitate achievement of planned and expectedoutcomes.
    • Delegates appropriate components ofthe nursing care plan to other members of the nursingteam.
    • Plans delivery of patient care incollaboration with other disciplines that promotes wellness andfacilitates thedischarge
    • process.
    • Otherduties asassigned.

    Education:

    • •Completion of a recognized course of study from an accreditedSchool of Nursing.
    • • Bachelor of Science inNursingpreferred.

    Certifications:

    • Currentstate licensure as Registered Nurse(RN).
    • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)through American Heart Association(AHA).
    • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)through American Heart Association (AHA)required.

    Complexityof Work:

    • • Desire to work in differenthospitals as needed.
    • • Requires criticalthinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work withminimal supervision.
    • • Must be able to work ina stressful environment and take appropriateaction.

    WorkExperience:

    • Minimum two years recentOperating Roomexperience.

    PhysicalRequirements:

    • Requires full range ofbody motion including handling and lifting patient, manual andfinger dexterity, and eye-handcoordination.
    • Requires standing and walking forextended periods of time.
    • Medium Work -Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical Demandrequirements are in excess of those for LightWork.

    PersonalProtective Equipment:

    • Follows StandardPrecautions using personal protective equipment as required forprocedures.
