    Description


    Rosetta Stone, the experts in language learning with products that provide an immersive learning experience for 25 languages, is seeking Senior Software Engineers.

    The ideal candidates will have a passion for technology and language learning and will help us add new features to our extremely successful Rosetta Stone products.

    This is a full time position with a hybrid work schedule of 3+ days per week in our San Mateo, CA headquarters office.


    WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
    Work with a team of talented engineers, both starting projects from scratch and also working within the existing code base
    Build the back-end wiring, application logic, and UI for our products
    Provide accurate estimates, evaluate feasibility, and assess new platforms and technologies for project implementations
    Collaborate and communicate clearly across multiple development teams to design and release amazing products
    Mentor teammates, communicate and teach your learnings

    WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
    4+ years of experience in software engineering
    Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
    Excellent programming skills (e.g. Ruby/Go or Java)
    Strong communication, analytical reasoning, and problem-solving skills
    Knowledge of AWS, MySQL, MongoDB, GraphQL/Node, React is a plus
    Passion for improving language learning through technology
    Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The base salary range for this full-time position is $130,000 to $200,000 + equity + benefits.

    The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position.

    Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
