    PURPOSE OF JOB :
    To provide assistance in coordinating multi-specialty national and international clinical trials. To screen, identify and when appropriate, enroll and monitor patients who are candidates for selected Doylestown Hospital Research Protocols.

    To be a liaison and provide direction to the physicians for planning, implementation, protocol compliance, follow-up and reporting of results of the research protocols.


    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
    Knowledge of the research process and application of FDA requirements inconducting medical research.

    Assesses, plans, implements, documents, coordinates and manages patient care related to all clinical trial protocol parameters and within the scope of practice.2.

    Effectively communicates with all hospital disciplines (physicians, nursing, administration, pharmacy, laboratory, radiology, medical records, accounting/billing, community relations, medical staff office's associates) patients, families and the general public in achieving excellence in-patient care.3.

    Utilizes analytical skills to direct and complete all research-related activities4. Demonstrates clinical proficiency and maintains a knowledge base of hospital policies, and research protocols5.

    QUALIFICATIONS :

    Education:
    Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Respiratory TherapyRegistered by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
    Licensed by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
    Satisfactory completion of appropriate continuing education specific to job requirements and Pennsylvania state requirements.
    Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree required.


    Experience :
    Extensive Knowledge of pulmonary medicine BLS is required

    Other Skills:
    Requires proficiency with computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Power Point.
    Must be able to work in a constantly changing environment.
    Must be extremely flexible.

    Must be able to work with a team consisting of physicians, nurses, technicians, secretarial staff and other hospital supporting departments and personnel.
