    Description

    Clearance Requirement: TS/SCI

    Location: Reston, VA (3-5 Days a Week)

    Job Description and Responsibilities:

    Looking for an upgrade to your DevOps career, but don't have work experience? We provide onsite training with sponsorship of SCI and certifications. In the process of obtaining clearance? Apply and tell us what your status is We are willing to work with you in getting your clearance approved.

    The DevSecOps Engineer works with the Technical Leadership on a variety of tasks including (but not limited to):

  • Working as an engineer enabling the infrastructure and the development aspects of the systems.
  • Developing and implementing upgrades and automation throughout the various environments.
  • Improving the system through updates and optimizations using various technologies.
  • Staying current with industry trends, IT ops and industry best practices, formulate recommendations and implementation plans

    • Minimum Qualifications:

  • More than two years of experience in a DevSecOps Engineer role (or similar role); experience in software development and infrastructure development is a plus.
  • Strong experience with Linux-based infrastructures, Linux/Unix administration, and AWS.
  • Strong experience with databases such as SQL, MS SQL, MySQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, Elasticsearch, Redis, Cassandra, and/or Mongo.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as Java, JavaScript, Perl, Ruby, Python, PHP, Groovy, Bash.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision in a changing environment.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to explain protocol and processes with team and management.
  • Stellar troubleshooting skills with the ability to spot issues before they become problems
  • Willingness to learn and expand technical knowledge into new fields and technologies.
  • Solid team player.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance.

    • Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in working with Puppet or Chef for automation and configuration.
  • Experience with project management and workflow tools such as Agile, Jira, WorkFront, Scrum/Kanban/SAFe, etc.
  • Advanced Degree - M.S., PhD - in a closely-related technical field.

    • Education:

  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in a technical field, or equivalent years of experience or ability to demonstrate core knowledge and skills required for the positions.
