As a Deputy Program Manager Engineer, you'll plan, authorize and monitor engineering work by managing a team of top talent.
You'll ensure that the total system is integrated, tested and verified while keeping your team motivated and focused on project goals.

Assisting the Program Manager with the planning, scheduling, budgeting, and quantitative management of all project activities and staff; contribute to and participate in customer reviews; directing resources, organizational interfaces, and project task scope; developing and reporting project metrics; providing concurrence on recommended changes to requirements and design configuration.
Ensuring the overall cost, schedule, and performance of the program. Developing and reporting program and departmental metrics Developing and maintaining the program plans (management baseline)Together with Lead Systems and Software Engineers develop and maintain the technical approach/development process Controlling the technical baseline (reviewing and approving recommended changes to requirements and design configuration) Conducting customer reviews and serving as an advocate for customer issues – technical and programmatic Managing Program staffing, resources, organizational interfaces, and program task scope What you bring to the table:
A Bachelor's of Science in Engineering, a related specialized area or field and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience or a Master's degree and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience Substantial leadership skills and proven team building and motivation skills The ability to work within and manage an environment of rapidly fluctuating customer requirement Proven problem-solving skills in complex environments Successful prior experience in planning, scheduling, budgeting, and executing projects to meet cost, schedule, and performance objectives Experience working on Agile development projects Earned Value Management training/experience What sets you apart: Excellent oral/written communication skills, and interpersonal skills to support interaction with customer representatives, team members (including subcontractors), and internal management Skilled at applying and executing highly advanced technologies, principles, theories and concepts Strong ability to lead, mentor, and motivate experienced technical staff High level of proficiency in project management Through proactive leadership, creates an environment where the impact of technology on the business is clearly recognized Experience with management of geopgraphically dispersed teams This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.).
