A leading energy efficiency engineering, environmental, and management consulting firm is seeking a talented Electrical Designer/Engineer to join their design team Fairfax, VA They are looking for candidates with 2-3 years of residential electrical design experience to work on new residential construction projects that include both single-family homes and multi-unit apartments.

Pay Range:
$60, 000 - $70, 000 DOEResponsibilities:Prepare one-line diagrams and electrical layouts with minimal guidance from engineersRespond to RFIs and review project submittals efficientlyAddress installation challenges with electrical systems, including on-site resolutionsDevelop floor plans detailing electrical layouts, fixtures, and equipmentGenerate electrical load calculations and panel schedulesDraft specifications and schedules for electrical materials and equipmentDesign fire alarm layouts and select equipment with limited oversightApply risk management strategies to minimize potential project issuesManage the design process to adhere to project timelinesLiaise with contractors for seamless design implementation and resolution of issuesEnsure quality deliverables to and from clients and encourage inter-disciplinary coordinationCommunicate with Operations, Owners, and Subcontractors to ensure project successRequirements:Minimum 2-3 years of experience in designing single-family, 3-story townhouses, 4-story townhouses, and multi-family apartment buildingsB.S. Degree in Electrical EngineeringProficiency in AutoCADAbility to work in a team-first environment with open communicationE.I.T. Certification is a plusP.E.
