Description

Our client is seeking a Full-Time Network Engineer to support US based LNG export facility and service the global demand for North American natural gas.

This Louisiana-based position will support the long-term development of clean and reliable North American energy supplies.


Responsibilities:

Design and implement functional networks, including LAN, WLAN, and WANConfigure and install software, servers, routers, and other network devicesManage firewalls and ensure network integrityMonitor network performance and address escalated issues from support tiers by troubleshooting both cloud and local infrastructureAutomate tasks and assess their efficiencyProvide technical mentorship to team membersDevelop, oversee, and test security measures, such as access authentication and disaster recoveryCommunicate effectively with users when necessaryMaintain comprehensive technical documentationPropose enhancements to network performance, capacity, and scalabilityQualifications:Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business, computer science, or management information systems5 or more years of industry-related experience as a Senior Network Engineer or Network AdministratorProfessional certification preferred (e.g., CCNP, CCDP)Solid background in network administration and architectureIn-depth understanding of communication protocols (primarily TCP/IP) and routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF)Familiarity with access control models and network securityCoding language proficiency for scripting (e.g., Python, Perl)Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools (e.g., SolarWinds network tools)Solid understanding of network operating systems (JUNOS, Cisco IOS)Demonstrated verbal and written communication skillsAbout PetroplanPetroplan is the trusted, specialist global Talent Solutions partner of choice for employers and professionals in the Energy sector.
