    Job DescriptionAs a member of Packaging Engineering team, the Packaging Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing packaging from initial concept all the way to production.

    This position is responsible for engineering Belkin products packaging, working closely with Industrial Designers, ICG, Marketing, Program managers, and vendors to ensure manufacturable and cost-effective package.

    Use 2D software ArtiosCAD to create dieline for packaging.
    Work closely with Industrial Designers on initial concept development which includes brainstorming, sketching, and complex 3D surface CAD modeling.

    Design thermoform tray, pulp tray, injection molded using ProEngineer Wildfire 5.0/Creo or higher with maintaining aesthetics and function of package.

    Create package prototype using Kongsberg cutting table to perform form fit and function.
    Develop packaging with great Out of box experience.

    Design packaging applying principles of DFM and DFACreate part number and maintain/manage file on server via Agile (PLM).Responsible for coordinating quotation, fabrication of prototype parts, package testing and verification of packaging.

    Assist with generation of packaging specifications.
    Perform all other duties as assigned and required.


    Education and Experience Requirements:
    BSME or MSME/MSIE preferred. Packaging experience a plus.
    Minimum of 3 years (4 years preferred) related work experience in Pro-E using complex surfacing.
    ProEngineer/ProSurface experience preferred.

    Working knowledge of windchill a plusStrong knowledge of a variety of manufacturing processes including thermoforming, rapid prototyping and injection molding.

    Strong problem-solving skill. Multi-tasking ability and can work effectively in fast-paced environment.
    There is potential for approximately 10%-15% travel.
