We are currently seeking a highly skilled Specialty Oncology Pharmacy Technician to join our dynamic team in Tacoma, Washington. This position is designed for individuals passionate about patient care and who thrive in fast-paced environments.

    Job Description: As a Specialty Oncology Pharmacy Technician, you will work closely with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to provide essential support in managing the medication therapy of cancer patients. This role requires a detailed understanding of oncology medication management, adherence to protocols, and the ability to provide exceptional service under sensitive circumstances.

    Responsibilities:

    • Assist pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications.
    • Complete Prior authorizations
    • Process Pharmacy claims
    • Coordinate medication dispensing and shipping
    • Medication ordering, labeling, and ensuring proper verification
    • Handle and process specialty oncology prescriptions with a high level of accuracy.
    • Support patient management and care by maintaining detailed records of treatment plans and patient progress.
    • Communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers to ensure a clear understanding of medication usage and side effects.
    • Manage inventory levels to ensure availability of necessary medication supplies.
    • Maintain a clean and safe environment in compliance with healthcare laws and regulations.

    Shift:

    • Monday - Friday:9:00am - 5:00pm

    Requirements:

    • At least2 years of specialty pharmacy experiencerequired.
    • Background in specialty oncology a plus but not required
