Job Description

This position will be a key cog in the procurement and sourcing functions for JWF Industries. This position will support the procurement demand, work with supply partners on strategic sourcing and price negotiations for their assigned programs. This position provides the primary interface between company operations and the supply base. Salary: $75, ,000 annually.

Essential Duties

• Manage suppliers to ensure adequate capacity to support the company.
• Contract negotiations with suppliers regarding price and delivery commitments for new quotes, contracts and existing purchase orders.
• Obtain quotes as a basis for negotiating new contracts and expired existing items from qualified suppliers.
• Determine and maintain adequate inventory levels to support production volumes while maintaining inventory turn goals.
• Coordinate major production schedule changes with the suppliers by negotiating price adjustments for either up or down volume swings.
• Assists in setting standard costs and controlling Purchase Price Variance (PPV) of assigned commodities in compliance with the methods and/or guidelines.
• Manage and be cognitive of all strategic communications between company and suppliers of assigned programs.
• Negotiate favorable terms and conditions with suppliers, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain a professional business relationship with suppliers and vendors.
• Work effectively with all other company personnel to assure compliance with company policies, procedures, and the JWFI mission and vision.
• Manage assigned programs including price, quality, delivery, and warranty. This includes technical coordination and performance metric reporting.

Education Level

Bachelors degree, or equivalent combination of education & experience

Experience

Minimum of five years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Prior manufacturing experience and sourcing experience is essential for this role.

While performing the duties of the job, the individual is required to have the ability to concentrate and perform responsibilities by maintaining a constant state of focus and mental alertness. The individual is regularly required to stand, use hands (including gripping & grasping) and reach with arms. The individual is frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and talk or hear. The individual will frequently walk. The individual must occasionally lift and/ or move up to 30 lbs. Specific vision requirements such as color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

While in Production areas, the employee is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles. There is frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts with occasional exposure to wet and/ or humid conditions and extreme cold or heat, and a risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the production environment is usually loud.
