    Travel RN job in Cleveland, Ohio on a Stepdown/PCU unit caring for post-operative cardiac and thoracic surgery patients, including CABG/valve/heart transplant and post-op lung surgery, as well as other cardiology populations as assigned.

    Registered Nurse (RN) Requirements

    • Experience: Registered Nurse (RN) experience preferred; Stepdown/PCU, cardiac, telemetry, or post-op experience is a plus
    • Certification/Specialty: RN Step Down (verification required for submission/onboarding)
    • Clinical Skills: Comfortable caring for post-operative cardiac/thoracic patients, monitoring clinical changes, and prioritizing patient safety
    • Compliance: Ability to complete required onboarding and compliance items as requested, which may include a skills checklist, competency exam, and background check

    Stepdown / PCU RN Responsibilities

    • Provide direct patient care as a Travel Registered Nurse (RN) for post-operative cardiac surgery patients in a stepdown/PCU environment
    • Support care for post-operative thoracic/lung surgery patients and other cardiology populations as assigned
    • Perform focused assessments, interpret clinical trends, recognize early deterioration, and escalate concerns appropriately
    • Administer medications, manage IV therapies, and coordinate post-op care plans per provider orders and unit protocols
    • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team to support patient education and care coordination per unit workflow
    • Document nursing care accurately and maintain quality, safety, and compliance standards throughout the shift
