- Correctional LPN/RN cares for and treats detainees in correctional facilities.
- Duties will include but are not limited to medication administration, immunizations, admissions, and emergency first aid
- Monitor basic patient health, i.e. vital signs and overall condition and report changes in patient symptoms or behavior
- Provides safe and effective nursing care and assumes responsibility for the care delivered
- Provides direct basic care to assign multiple clients within the structure of the healthcare program at their facility
- Communicate with collaborating physicians or specialists regarding patient care
- Maintain accurate patient medical records
- Dressing changes on wounds
- Assist with and/ or procedures and administration of medications.
- Graduation from an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse program
- Currently licensed as a Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of employment or Compact State Nursing License
- Possession of an active CPR certification
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience
- A background check, security clearance and drug screening are required for this role
