    Do you want to embark on a dynamic healthcare journey in our fast-paced admission unit? 11E is the Care Initiation Unit (CIU) where we provide exceptional care of patients awaiting their inpatient bed assignment.

    We are an acute care admitting unit that initiates the plan of care until patients are transferred to their specialized units.

    Our 11E nurses work with telemetry, central lines, tracheostomies, heparin drips, insulin drips, and administer blood products.


    • Number of Beds: 24
    • Patient Populations/Typical Diagnoses:
    Non-ICU general medicine, surgical, neurosciences, and oncology patients


    • Targeted Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:4
    11E CIU received the 2024 Silver Beacon award. We work closely with the ED department and other units to promote the flow within the hospital. Come join our dynamic team


    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing 12 months of recent nursing experience within the past five years or recent completion of a re-entry nursing program.
    • Must have a valid, active unencumbered Nursing license or temporary permit approved by the Georgia Licensing Board.
    • BLS certification required and ACLS may be required in designated departments.
    • Exceptions:

    Individuals currently employed as a LPN within the EHC system at the time of completion of an accredited RN program and becoming licensed as a RN will be considered eligible to move to the Nurse Clinician title while matriculating through the Resident program.
