    8 Network Optical Engineers

    for a large telecommunications company we are partnered with based in Denver, Colorado.

    All levels of Network Engineers are welcome to apply Ideally you will have at least 1 year of network engineering experience with a focus in optical engineering.

    Network Optical Engineers x8 openings
    Fully remote, must support MST business hours
    Up to $45 an hour
    One & Done Interviews via Video
    Contract through 12/31/2024, Extensions highly likely
    All levels of Network Engineering welcome

    Required Skills and Experience

    • 12+ years network engineering experience
    • Network provisioning and testing
    • Excellent communication and organizational skills
    • Ability to work independently in a remote environment during MST business hours
    • Optical transport experience is highly desirable
    • SONET, ROADM, DWDM, Ciena, etc.


    • Cisco certification

    • CCNP, CCNA
    • Cisco Optical technology training
    Nice to Have Skills and Experience

    • BGP, OSPF, MPLS, EIGRP, and/or ISIS
    Job Description

    Our client is a Fortune 100 telecommunications company, and their Core Backbone Operations organization is looking for junior to mid-level network engineers to support testing and provisioning of their optical systems in support of their enterprise networking initiatives.


    On a day-to-day basis, candidates will:

    • Work normal business hours (MST) provisioning and testing optical waves.
    • Demonstrate indepth knowledge of related industry specifications and standards IEEE, ANSI, Fiber (Multimode, Single mode, UTP, etc.), Bridging, Switching, Routing, Ethernet and Transport technologies and protocols.
    • Apply indepth knowledge in network design, network architecture, protocols and network topology.
    • Use Jira ticketing, Visio, and other software tools to support the current operations.
    • Support basic network devices and basic network appliances.
